What's the name of the little metal piece that sits in the longboard fin box and slides back and forth? I've lost mine after snapping my fin and need a replacement. Will one come with a new fin? If not, can it be purchased on its own at a surf shop?

Sorry in advance for this total noob question. Thanks in advance for the help.

Cheers.

just go into a 'real ' surf shop and tell your story and they will probably take care of you------the late danny heritage was the inventor of the first replacement plate that didn't require the removal of the whole box to fix(think about that mess!) and right after that multi fin boards and glass ons came into style and the concept was lost until the longboard return occured. ok, thats it for surfing history today--there will be a quiz :-)
