RISKY GIRL MODEL SEARCH

THIS WILL BE POSTPONED AND WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON OUR WEBSITE!

The winner of the model search will receive $500 cash and a professional photo shoot for a magazine ad in Eastern Surf Magazine. Any interested contestant can sign up at the Surf Club and should bring a bathing suit.

"We are holding a casual approach to our model search to reduce any intimidation of being on stage", said Jon Lewis, event coordinator for Fukitt & Risky Clothing. "They don't go on stage to get picked. Instead, they will gather their votes by interacting with the audience and showing their personality."

SURF CONTEST
The contest will start at 8:00AM on September 7 in Ortley Beach in front of the Surf Club. It will comprise of only two shortboard divisions for men and women. The 1st place winners will receive a sponsorship with Fukitt & Risky Clothing and Walker Surfboards, $500 in cash, and a brand new surfboard.

For spectators and participants, there will be other forms of entertainment such as live music from local bands such as Flights Kool, Ropetree, S. Preston, Newget, Hometown Roll, Scarlet Carson, and Magnums! In addition, the audience will get a chance to receive some Fukitt & Risky products with raffles and give-aways. There will be a free barbeque during the day for our attendees on a first-come, first-serve basis.

do u just have to pay the entry fee of 25 or would we be responsible for a cover charge too

YES...you will only need to pay $25 for the contest and this will include the cover charge for the event as well. We will also try and include a free BBQ for the contestants. You guys are going to need some energy out there!

It's going to be tough getting judges because everyone's going to want to be out in the water!! Haha... Oh, well...it's all about the fun anyway.

Yeah, it was funny to see on Surfline the description of wave conditions, "Good - Epic." Haha...

We're really hoping that we get to see some talented surfers compete tomorrow! I'm looking forward to seeing some Soul Surfers who don't really compete to enter...that's sort of something we wanted to instigate. This contest is just all about a good time...

We're no Belmar Pro but we're definitely trying to get some locals out so that you guys have a good audience!
