Ok Who's In?? Surfers Environmental Alliance is hosting it's annual "Paddle Around Manhattan" and for those of you who joined me and Mazerak for the tour around Absecon Island this should be a cakewalk;) Check out this site:

I'm IN and looking to raise funds. Mile pledges are acceptable and checks made payable directly to SEA, if interested shoot me a u2u.:punk:

I want to do it, actually planned on it but unfortunately I do not have a SUP board as of today. Funds are tight theses days. I would def do it if someone would be interested in LENDING me a board for the day. I know its probably a lot to ask but I figured I would throw it out there.

I would be willing to lay down my quiver as collateral.

The SEA Paddle is not limited to SUPs. My vehicle of choice is a 17.5' Bark, prone paddleboard. All good for another great cause, our Ocean Environment.

Yea that works... the only problem is, the biggest board I own is 6'6. So I guess I will throw this out there as well. Is there anyone looking to sell something that will get me around in one piece. To be honest, I dont have much, but I will fix up a beater.

Hey Masochist, Do you own the 17.5' Bark? If so, if you don't mind my asking - how much did you pay for it? Looking for a paddleboard myself but not sure if I'm getting dragged over the coals.

I was VERY lucky. I friend of mine "El Rollo" here on the forum, originally loaned it to me to paddle and train for some races. Super good guy. I did the Dean Paddle Around Absecon Island and the "Battle of the Bouys" on it. He had two and was willing to part with it for $500.00. There's some deals out there, you just have to continue to look. Also the members of the Surf Community are always supportive and if you continue to put your search out there something will pop up. It did for me. I'll say one thing, over the past two years I've really gotten hooked on this distance paddling thang. Helps your surfing and helps keep us old guys fit. Good luck.
