Saw Dean this past Friday in Oceanside ... as we pulled up he crushed a left on the north side of the pier with big vertical backside hacks throwing huge fans ... he got out of the water after that wave and he told me it was only his second day in the water in the past few weeks as he was just getting over pneumonia which he had for like two weeks .... a true NJ surfing legend!

Roundie, what the fuk are you babbling about? I entered "hasbeen" status years ago, like the late 80's early 90's. LOL. Bottom line is Jersey has some great young surfers (you not being on )
But if you would like to stack up ability, I'd be happy to hop in the Open division of the next ESA event and school you on how to put your board on rail Take the Pepsi challenge? Put up or shut up "grASShopper".

Here's an idea. If you're looking for the five best groms in NJ, take the 1st place slot from NE REgionals (If 1st place is not from NJ take the first NJ surfer that comes up in the final) from Menehunes, Boys, Junior Mens, Junior Womens, and Girls. there ya go. The best 5 groms.

Listen here barney - ( has been ) - i mean maso - grasshopper i love it and in mi mundo COKE IS IT the beverage of choice but only after a couple of hippy speedballs . Why an esa contest ? Are you that SCARED that u have to have all ya homies judge u - lets do it on a level playing field . Will they all stand on la playa and hoot and scream at your every wave to influence the judging . Do they all have hairy backs and look like friggn monkeys too . I think u r scared - REALLY SCARED Its OK to be washed up buddy u can live the rest of ya life thru the little one
Cant wait to meet in person it is a small world out there my little friend in fact its a jungle so dont be SCARED . You got a lot of paddling to do to catch me so ya better get on that paddle board and start now. You have 40 years water time maso is that right ?What is ya specialty - hairy back wet headies. AS far as da grommies screw em they are playing catch up too. I AINT LAYN DOWN YET. CATCH ME IF U CAN PAPITO ( YA LITTLE DADDY ) DONT BE SCARED MASOKISSED. PUSH THE ENVELOPE
RAISE THE BAR _ TAKE IT TOO ANOTHER LEVEL _ THATS HOW GROMMIES GET GOOD - THEY LOOK LEARN AND LISTEN

Lol, dude you're crazier than a shit house rat... Surf contests are social events, but for you super serious rippas I'm sure the ESA is just beLOW you Oh, I'm sure we will definitely "bump" into each other, perhaps sooner than you may like.
I'll be at the Dark Fall gig at the Surf Club in Ortley at 6:00pm, but have to leave by 7:00pm to make my step sons graduation at St. Joes. So PLEASE stop by, I'll pay for your ticket. I'll be the only guy there in a suit Just remember this thread is about the grommies, not about your purient interest in getting spanked.

Lol...hey I didn;t start this thread, I just responded to it The BEST surfer in the water is ALWAYS the one having the most FUN However for purposes of analysis and a ualified response to the initial question, the ESA was used as a barometer for performance...You can use ESA, NSSA or simply the smiles on the grommies faces after a set wave. Relax dude this is a fukin surf forum. Some of you cats are waaay to serious. i.e.
